EXPERIENCE: Healthcare experience preferred.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES: CPA and First Aid certification.
A Behavioral Health Technician is a member of the direct care staff who works with native men, ages 18 and up, to ensure that their safety, therapeutic and physical needs are properly met, as directed by the treatment plan and clinical team. Job duties include working with residents throughout the day, transporting them to varying locations, accompanying them on nature and cultural outings, participating and leading groups and experiential activities, and acting as a positive role model for our residents. New Moon Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day. Must be 21 years of age or older.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Two years employment providing services for clients in the mental health treatment field. Two years employment providing services for clients in the treatment field of chemical abuse/dependence. Experience working with adults with severe emotional disturbances and/or chronic mental illness. Experience in project development, planning, and management. Experience with and knowledge of a broad range of Native American culture and tradition. Experience with the operation and management of small farm projects.

The Experiential Projects Coordinator is a member of the clinical treatment team, and works with the adult male clients in group settings. The Experiential Projects Coordinator is responsible for planning, facilitating, and reporting on psycho-educational groups that are focused on experiential projects that are intended to strengthening resident’s tradition and culture and supporting the resident’s engagement in treatment. The Experiential Projects Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating events, activities, and trainings that provide the residents with a variety of links or entry points into tribal/pueblo tradition and culture.
THERAPIST - RESIDENTIAL
PROGRAM: New Moon Lodge, Ohkay Owingeh, NM
STATUS: Regular/Full Time/Exempt
EDUCATION: Master’s Degree or PhD in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Working with Native American populations, substance misuse, and behavioral/ mental health issues
REQUIRED LICENSE: New Mexico State license as an MA or PhD psychologist, LMSW, LMHC, LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.
Provide individual and family therapy, group psychotherapy, substance abuse counseling, mental health/substance abuse evaluations, case management, and other related therapeutic services for residential clientele of the organization
